Help is Needed to Increase Resilience to Climate Change

Your help is needed for Pelham's Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness 2.0 grant! Be a part of the steering committee. Details below.

Because Pelham last participated in MVP 1.0 in 2018, the Town is one of the priority communities that are urged to participate through a non-competitive application process. We must participate at this stage in order to be eligible for grants to do the work later. These current grant opportunities are focused on re-evaluating earlier goals, coming up with updated resiliency goals and using those to guide an MVP Action grant application.

Pelham is eligible for a $50K planning grant to engage residents and officials. That process would take about 6 months to 1 year. A town steering committee of residents and officials, including half from residents whose voices aren’t usually heard is formed to guide the process, with facilitator help. If you are interested see contact information below. Another $50K is available for an action grant to carry out the work the planning process commits to undertaking.

Next meeting TBD
