Application forms for new firearms licenses and renewal firearms licenses are available at the Pelham Police Department and online at www.mass.gov/chsb.

  • An appointment may be made with Sergeant Sean Connor to begin the application process.
  • Sergeant Connor typically works Monday through Thursday from 7am to 5pm.
  • Please allow at least 30 minutes for the application process.

First Time Applicants

First time applicants are required to provide the following:

  • Completed application
  • Submit a copy of a certificate of completion form from an approved basic firearms safety course.
    • Valid drivers license
    • A $100.00 non-refundable fee must be submitted along with application. Checks made out to "The Town of Pelham"
    • Payment is only accepted a the Town Offices located at 351 Amherst Road
    • Persons 70 years old and older are FREE of charge

Fingerprints and photos will be taken at the time the application is submitted.

NOTE: As stated on page two of the firearms application: “ANY PERSON WHO KNOWINGLY FILES AN APPLICATION CONTAINING FALSE INFORMATION SHALL BE PUNISHED BY A FINE OF NOT LESS THAN $500.00 NOR MORE THAN $1000.00 OR BY IMPRISONMENT FOR NOT LESS THAN 6 MONTHS NOR MORE THAN 2 YEARS IN A HOUSE OF CORRECTION, OR BY BOTH SUCH FINE AND IMPRISONMENT (M.G.L. c140§131).”

IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO ALLOW AMPLE TIME TO RENEW YOUR FIREARMS LICENSE.

Renewal Applicants
