HAVE AN IDEA FOR CELEBRATING ART AND CULTURE IN PELHAM? APPLY FOR A PELHAM CULTURAL COUNCIL GRANT!
The Pelham Cultural Council invites proposals from organizations, schools, and individuals for 2020 grants supporting arts, humanities, and science programs benefiting the residents of Pelham and Pelham School students and families. Proposals are due before close-of-business around October 15—via the online application portal accessible via www.mass-culture.org
These grants may support a variety of cultural projects and activities in Pelham--including exhibits, festivals, field trips, short-term artist residencies, workshops, lectures, or performances.
The Pelham Cultural Council’s general funding priorities include:
arts programs in the schools (K-12)
· projects celebrating Pelham's history, culture, and environment
· programs featuring Pelham visual and performing artists, writers, musicians, scientists, historians, or other subject area experts
programs which feature global perspectives
The Pelham Cultural Council is part of a network of 329 Local Cultural Councils serving all 351 cities and towns in the Commonwealth. The LCC Program is the largest grassroots cultural funding network in the nation, supporting thousands of community-based projects in the arts, sciences and humanities every year. The state legislature provides an annual appropriation to the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency, which then allocates funds to each community.
