Who Can Apply?

We're looking for individuals who are:

• At least 16 years old
• Live a reasonable distance from Pelham
• Dependable and committed to serving the community.
• Physically able to perform emergency response duties.
  • There is a job for everyone, you do not need to go into burning buildings.
  • A majorty of calls are medical emergencies, medical experiance a plus
• Willing to participate in training and department activities.
• Ready to be part of a professional, team-oriented organization.

What You'll Do

Firefighters respond to a variety of emergencies, including:

• Structure and brush fires
• Motor vehicle accidents
• Medical emergencies
• Storm damage and public assistance calls
• Fire prevention and community education events

Every call is an opportunity to make a positive impact.

Training and Equipment

The Pelham Fire Department provides the training, protective equipment, and ongoing education necessary to prepare for emergency response. You'll learn from experienced firefighters in a supportive environment while earning nationally recognized firefighting certifications where applicable.
