MISSION

The Pelham Free Public Library connects people, information and ideas to foster life-long learning, literacy and community.

DESCRIPTION

As both a school and community library, the welcoming and knowledgeable staff is committed to supporting the personal and educational growth of students and patrons. The Library offers a rich variety of print and digital resources, lectures, workshops and performances.

The Pelham Free Public Library provides:

  • free and unfiltered access to information and ideas through a broad range of materials in a variety of formats including print, audio, digital media, and online;
  • opportunities for enrichment, entertainment, and community-building through regularly-scheduled lectures, workshops, performances, and other special events;
  • support and encouragement of learning at every stage of life;
  • a home and appropriately-monitored resources for the Pelham School Library and its entire community of students, parents, and staff;
  • a History Room and Archives Collection as a repository for documentary materials about Pelham’s people, history and culture, including the town’s experience of Shay’s Rebellion.
